Ten Best Episodes of Dark TV Series
Dark is a German TV Series which is created by Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese. It is available on Netflix. It is a mystery thriller TV series based on time travel. It recently won the poll conducted by the Rotten Tomatoes for the Best Original Netflix Series.
Personally, I would say, Dark is a criminally underrated series. Sadly it is not getting the recognition it has to get. But happy people are beginning to appreciate and start watching this masterpiece. Nowadays, there is a big void in the television series arena wherein hardly there are few series' which are being appreciated even after it has completed its run. The likes of these are Breaking Bad, Game Of Thrones (Except for Season 8). Friends etc which stand the test of time.
Dark is something which lets the viewers to actually solve the puzzle if not just simply watch it. It is mindbending with a complex time-travel conspiracy that slowly gets unraveled through the course of the series. Even though the story focusses mainly on the 4 families, yet you might require a family tree to remember all the characters who keep on traveling back and forth the time. The relationships are complicated, confusing yet so convincingly intriguing. The background score is haunting and is elevating the curiosity of the next scene.
So while watching the series, it is very much recommended to have the family tree beside so that you don't get lost with the characters and in turn the series as well. This is one such series that requires your 200% attention. If you don't follow up, you will lose the flow of the series which ultimately spoils the thrill and the excitement to witness how the mystery unfolds.

1. SECRETS (S1E1)

2. TRUTHS (S1E5)

John Kahnwald becomes baffled to realize after reading the letter sent by the stranger that the Michael Kahnwald is actually Mikkel Nielsen.
3. SIC MUNDUS CREATES EST (S1E6)

Jonas decides to explore the cave with the tools sent by the Stranger. Ulrich finds out that the body which has been discovered is that of his brother Mads from the 1980s.
4. AS YOU SOW, SO YOU SHALL REAP (S1E8)

Ulrich time-travels to 1953 and encounters Young Helge Doppler who he thinks as the one who killed the children in 1986, so in order to stop the event from happening, he tries to kill Helge by brutally beating him.
5. ALPHA AND OMEGA (S1E10)

Jonas gets transported to the future. Old Helge in order to stop Young Helge, hits him with his car, ultimately getting killed in the accident. While the Young Helge severely injured, he started to suffer from dementia.

The excavation of Winden Caves started by Young Noah and an unknown man in 1921. Also, Jonas learns that most of the residents of the Winden perished in an apocalyptic event.
7. Dark Matter (S2E2)

Jonas tries to stabilize the God Particle which if stable allows time travel. This is told by Claudia Tiedemann in a tape.
8. The Travellers (S2E4)

Jonas after getting into God Particle gets transported to 1921. He tries to time-travel and get back to his current timeline but is shocked to see that the cave has not yet opened and it will take another 32 years to get it opened.

Hannah travels to 1954 to see Ulrich. Martha meets the Stranger and learns his true identity. Claudia tries to prevent Egon's death in 1987.

Jonas and Claudia use the time machine to connect the future and the past. The relationship between Charlotte and Elizabeth gets complex. Martha from an alternate world meets Jonas and rescues him just before the apocalypse.
So these are my top 10 episodes of Dark. I really cannot wait for the final season which is airing on June 27, 2020, coincidentally, it is also the day on which the apocalypse happens on the series.
